Italy has a very rich history starting in the prehistoric times moving to the Etruscans, the Italians (Magna Graecia), the Romans, the Italian Renaissance and all the way to modern Italy.
The Roman Empire later dominated Western Europe and the Mediterranean for many centuries, making immeasurable contributions to humanity.
